Will Rogers Daily Quotes4.1 - App Store

Will Rogers was commenting on today's headlines in the early 1930s! Start your day with a quote from Will Rogers, the early 20th Century’s best-loved American humorist and social commentator, or browse through the hundreds of quotes in the collection. WARNING! Once you start browsing the quotes, you may not be able to stop!

His quotes are funny, thought provoking, inspiring and relevant. Rogers had a genius for commenting on the events of his day with good humor and a personal down-home folksy charm. What is remarkable is that the truth he communicated through his newspaper columns, personal appearances and radio addresses is as relevant today as it was then. National debt, out-of-control spending, the death tax, Wall Street greed, corrupt politicians and income taxes are but a few of the topics covered by Rogers, who was an astute observer of human character.

Here’s an example: “Now air is a mighty fine thing (when not oozing from a public speaker).” And another: “We got 120,000,000 people and 60,000,000 hold government jobs.” And a final example: “Another fire in Washington [in the Capitol building]. It just shows you Congressmen are not yet competent to carry matches.”
